During the exchange, an official was reportedly heard saying, “do whatever you want, post videos wherever you like.” Videos and social media posts capturing the tense interaction subsequently emerged, showing staff members and a police officer present at the centre.
The incident has drawn attention to the reported gap between online appointment systems and the services being provided at Aadhaar centres. Online appointments are intended to help users receive priority and reduce waiting times, making the reported refusal despite a scheduled booking a matter of concern.
